Higashiyama is Hirafus more subtle next door neighbour. Smaller and quieter by nature, Higashiyama appeals to a more thoughtful guest who would choose to shed the limelight and visit the main town as opposed to stay there.

That being said Higashiyama is the base camp for some of Hokkaido's most exciting group tours. Guests in Higashiyama have excellent access to the ski area and may use Outdoor Travel Japans exclusive shuttle bus between Higashiyama, Annupuri and Hirafu. Higashiyama is most famous for the best ski-in/ski-out hotel in Niseko, the Higashiyama Prince Hotel, where the gondola leaves from the lobby.
