Niseko Hirafu | Niseko Hirafu |
![]() Niseko Hirafu Niseko is located in the south west corner of Hokkaido and is made up of 3 resort areas surrounding a single mountain. The most developed of these 3 areas is Hirafu where you will find a modest village, hotels, pensions, lodges and a variety of bars & restaurants peppered with a few clothing, equipment and novelty shops. As well as being the cultural heartbeat of Niseko, the Hirafu area offers the best lift access to the ski area. There is a complimentary shuttle (valid only with a ski pass) until about 9pm nightly after which Outdoor Travel Japan guests may use an exclusive shuttle until the early morning hours. The skiing around Niseko is superb and supported by 1000 vertical metres of immaculately groomed runs, steep tree gullies and beautiful open powder bowls. The lift system is a mixture of double chairs and more modern high speed quad chairlifts and gondolas. The lifts are open from 8.30am to 9pm, with very good night skiing trails covering a huge area, enabling one to further test their powder skiing abilities. The main Japan office of Outdoor Travel Japan is located in Niseko Hirafu. Hokkaido guests may consult this office for any reason during their stay and speak to a Outdoor Travel Japan representative fluent in English. The Niseko Hirafu office also has its own ski and snowboard hire facility and ski school. |
